Matt Malone was born July 3, 1972 at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope. He graduated from Fairhope High School in May 1991. Matt spent the next two years at Jeff Davis College in Brewton, where he had accepted a tennis scholarship. Matt and his teammates won the state championship each of the two years Matt was there, both years going on to play in the National Junior College Tournament. Matt then transferred to Auburn where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management. Shortly after graduation Matt accepted a job as salesman for Lanier Worldwide, selling office equipment. Matt became a very successful salesman for Lanier, being recognized as salesman of the month for every month he was there. He also received Lanier's "Silver Trip Award", an honor which only the top 10% of the salesman in the country received. Matt stayed with Lanier until March of 1998, when he joined Andy as a partner in Malone Insurance Agency. He is a fully licensed life/health and property/casualty insurance agent. Matt lives in Fairhope and enjoys jogging, weight lifting, hunting, fishing, outdoor sports, and following Auburn Athletics.
